A long cooling season on the bay
Pensacola has a humid subtropical climate with short, mild winters and hot, humid summers, when highs sit in the lower 90s °F and nights often stay in the mid-70s. Why is my AC running but the house won't cool down?
A dirty filter, frozen coil, dirty outdoor coil, low refrigerant or ducts leaking into the attic are the usual causes. On the hottest afternoons a system may also simply be too small for the house.
How long does AC replacement take?
A like-for-like swap is often done in a day. Duct changes or moving equipment can add time.
Why does my heat pump blow cool air in winter?
Air from a heat pump feels cooler than furnace air even when it's heating normally. If the house won't warm up, or the unit is iced over, book a check.
Can one outdoor unit run several rooms?
Yes. Multi-zone systems connect several indoor heads to a single outdoor unit.
How often should my AC be serviced in Pensacola?
Once a year at a minimum, ideally in spring. Some homeowners with heat pumps add a fall check.
